Augmented Reality in Unit Operations

Using visual assistance to facilitate learning with step-by-step guidance

Wouldn't it be cool if we could deliver expert scientific and technical content on time-intensive lab training? Maybe something better than just pictures, videos, or simulations?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that superimposes holographic images over a physical space. The user wears a headset that allows them to see metadata (pictures, videos, and holograms). But the really cool part is that they can actually interact with their space, too. For example, completing a lab tutorial of a unit operation, the user cannot progress until they physically reach out and touch the valve the guide prompts the user to identify.
